Baptism Times: Baptisms will begin at 8:00 AM and will end around 2:00 PM, when high tide hits. You are welcome to come at any time within those hours.
What to Bring: Please remember to bring a towel, a change of clothes, and shoes that are comfortable for walking on uneven terrain. You should also bring drinking water and any food or snacks you want.
The Cove: The terrain at Pirate’s Cove is quite rocky, so it’s essential to be prepared. Please note that the rocky terrain may not be safe for young children and has no ADA access. Beach restrooms are available for your convenience.
Water Access: Due to limited space, we kindly request that only those being baptized go down into the cove. Family and friends are welcome to observe from above. The area by the water will be exclusively for those getting baptized.
Parking Instructions: You can park for free on Ocean Blvd and adjacent streets. Alternatively, there is a beach lot available, but please be aware that State Beach parking fees may apply. Pirate’s Cove is located on the west end of the beach lot, facing the harbor channel. You’ll find signs and helpful individuals to guide you to the baptism location.
